3. Mahaguti Craft with a Conscience

Mahaguti is a not for profit Fair Trade organisation, which aims to provide work opportunities for women. Women are faced with many barriers to their employment, the lack of childcare and affordable schooling is for many one of the most difficult to overcome. To provide training and working opportunities for women which recognise this need Mahaguti has built and runs a school and childcare unit very close to its training and production premises. Women trainees and producers, thanks to this free service are able to not only work and provide for their families but also educate their children, their by giving them not only the means to satisfy their children's immediate needs but also providing them with an education, a future.
