Fair Trade + Ecology

Namaste ! Best wishes for the World Fair Trade Day.

We are pleased to inform you that we celebrated World Fair Trade Day with drawing competitions in KTS primary school on 9th May 08. 16 Students participated in the competitions. The Principal of the school Miss Karuna Khadgi gave away the prizes for first, second and third winner.

Similarly we have organized design competitions and interaction programme with producers and staff. We gave brief information about Fair Trade, IFAT, Fair Trade Group Nepal, KTS and concept of theme of this year Fair Trade + Ecology.

On the occasion knitwear producers made small prototype caps and swatches. In the programme staff and producers combined all the products and made a XXXXX LCap/Neck warmer.

The product will be sent to The Fair Trade Company, Japan and requested Safia Minney, Chair of Fair Trade Company Japan to judge. KTS will provide cash prizes and certificates for first, second and third place.

We are also going to organize health check up camp in assotiation with Rotary Club of Patan South and Omkaar Policlinic, Bagdol Lalitpur on 24th May 08.

Health camp

We are pleased to inform you that today 24th May 08 we, Kumbeshwar Technical School, have successfully conducted free health check up and treatment camp in association with Rotary Club of Patan South and Omkaar Policlinic, Bagdol Lalitpur on the auspicious occasion of World Fair Trade Day 2008, at school premises. .

Dr. Shankar Prasad Suri - Child & Tropical Meal, Dr. Pushpa Mall - Chest physician, Dr. Hari Narayan Gupta - Skin Specialist, Dr. K. P. Rijal - Orthopedics, Dr. Vijay Jaisawal - Surgeon, Dr. Uday K. Shrestha - Cardiologist, Dr. Narendra Dorai - General Physician, Dr. Muna Badu - General Physician, Dr. Sudin Shakya, Dr. Anil Shakya, Dr. Sharon Shakya, Dr. Pratic Shrestha, Dr. Shanti Chhetri, Dr. Sabita Shrestha and Dr. Sudan Shakya - Dentaist and Mr. Krishna Maharjan, Mr. Til Bahadur Shrestha, Mr. Suresh Maharjan, Ms. Sharmila Maharjan and Ms. Amrita Thapa - Dental assistant.were the practicing doctors and assistant during this health camp. 283 people from Patan area and KTS producers took full advantage of the health camp.
