World Fair Trade Day

Mahaguthi Craft With A Conscience is a Nepalese Fair Trade non profit organization working since 1984. Its activities are divided between exporting handicrafts, providing services to small producers and artisans and supporting various development projects (rehabilitation of a home for destitute women). It contributes to many fair trade campaigns through several network memberships, such as in IFAT.

Mahaguthi celebrated the World Fair Trade Day with various programs:
Quality improvement workshops for its in-house producers (cleaning work place).

Training from an external consultant on “What is quality? Who is responsible for quality improvement and how we can improve the quality”.

Open House introducing and featuring new "Banzai" collection in home textile, paper and ceramics.

Musical concert (fair trade song made by AFTF).

Wall Painting on the Environment painted by children of Producers (between 4 to 11 years old) and Staff at Production premises.
