Spreading the Fair Trade message in Buenos Aires Fundacion Silataj
Argentina www.fundacionsilataj.org.ar Fundacion Silataj celebrated Fair Trade Week from May 10th to May 17th. The objective was to be more active that week on communicating what Fair Trade is to the general public passing by and to the public coming into the store that Silataj shares with 2 other NGOs dedicated to Fair Trade, Niwok and Surcos Patag?nicos, in Buenos Aires. We also invited a fourth NGO called Redes Solidarias (http://www.redes-solidarias.org.ar), they offered tastings of Fair Trade smoked paprika which is produced by 2 families at the aboriginal community of La Estrella. We handed out fliers to locals and tourists, we showed videos and photos and explained the story of the communities and their artisans.  Fair Trade smoked paprika |
