Fair Trade ensures equity and justice in international trade

Fair trade is all about ensuring equity and justice in international trade by creating opportunities for craft communities working around the world. These craftspeople have been working for thousands of years, making products using indigenous techniques and eco-friendly natural raw materials.

Global awareness of fair trade has profound significance and relevance for the very survival of these craftspeople making eco-friendly products.

In today's world, there is growing concern about global warming. Poor third world countries are expected to be the most affected by global warming. It represents a huge threat to mankind and our planet. Global warming is the inevitable consequence of international trade based on exploitation and injustice.

World fair trade day 2008 raises a strong voice against the root causes of global warming and provides an alternative which can save the lives of millions.
