Long Live Fair Trade…Long Live Ecology

Kakande Sula
Uganda Crafts 2000

"Fair Trade and Ecology have really played a great role in eradicating poverty most especially among the poor nations of the world.

Furthermore Fair trade has promoted the use of Traditional Handcraft skills and the use of Organic-Natural materials. These natural materials include: raffia, banana fiber, disi among others which grow naturally along side other floras(Vegetation) and more are grown in the local area for easy access.

All this has helped the artisans (producers) to reduce the cost of production and to get a fair price for their products.
Since most of the artisans are widows, orphans, disabled and single mothers, Fair trade has created more jobs for them hence enhancing their standard of living.....Long live Fair trade…Long live Ecology. "
