It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements of fair trade, and bring attention to this crucial issue for developing countries. If poor people are to reap the benefits of global trade, we need a fairer trading system at all stages of the supply chain - for producers and workers. IFAT standards are showing this is possible and providing positive examples of how trade can be made to work for poor people.
