Looking after the environment is a key part of our objectives

“Looking after the environment is a key part of our objectives, not only because we work with materials which are environmentally friendly but also because our work is so closely connected to the environment.

In 2004 we developed a technique called “Riego por Exudacion con Cantaros microporosos” which helps plants to grow and develop in desert conditions using minimal quantities of water. With this technique 99% of water can be saved. It uses pieces of ceramic known as “Cantaros” which contain the water and are buried at a depth of about fifteen centimeters and are connected through hoses so that they can be filled.

We have test centers where we grow plants like Algarrobo, Cactus, Huarango, but we have the best results with the “Tara”, a plant that is used in medicine, alimentary industry and textile industry as a natural pigment. We are not only growing plants in difficult conditions we are also helping to improve the economical situation and life style of people who live in those difficult conditions.

We encourage others to look into their organizations, associations, etc, and find the way to connect their work with the environment, the way to help this beautiful world to be a better place to live and share that experience with others.”
