May Fair Trade live long to open our eyes and render those, the artisans, who are an integral part of the society. Kumudini Handicrafts takes great pride in being a member of WFTD. The initial objective of Kumudini Handicrafts being to empower those in the grassroots level, especially women. We believe we have walked a long route to upholding Fair Trade values. It is through these norms that we help others, sustain trade and keep it Eco friendly. Realizing the boom and pros of natural dyes we have been employing natural dyes in our production center in order to restrict environmental pollution, cutting down considerably on the usage of chemical dyes, which were solely used in the past. This use of natural dyes has already encouraged the revival of lost vegetation and an increase in plantation. We have regulated technology that helps us to bring about safe ways of procuring these natural dyes making sure that those preparing them face no occupational hazards. It is necessary to mention that the chemical dyes we use have been tested for allergic and other skin reactions. They have been proved to have no adverse effect on human skin. It is custom for Kumudini Handicrafts to treat its chemical waste in specified locations where the waste is treated and ensures that there is no environmental pollution. We believe that every individual has his/her own burden of protecting this planet and keeping it clean and green. The journey is long. The horizon is far off but we all are getting closer.
