This year's World Fair Trade Day theme has got tremendous value for society

We are happy to inform you that at SILENCE we feel that this year's World Fair Trade Day theme has got tremendous value for society. Hence we felt that the message should be spread for a longer period rather than on just one single day. So we have already started to spread the message to different parts of our society. We started during the rainy season by holding many events. In collaboration with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation we participated in aforestation programs and planted thousands of plants throughout Kolkata.
While the Kolkata Municipal Corporation gave out environmental awards to a number of Puja committee members, at the occasion of the Durga Puja festival (biggest festival in our state), we made the most of the celebration by displaying various environmental messages in the Puja Pandals exhibitions to raise people's awareness of this issue.
